Greenwood Museum

Greenwood Museum

This museum should be your first stop when visiting Boundary Country! Here you can get out and stretch your legs, obtain the most up to date B.C. travel information and find ideas on where to eat, sleep and play in the Greenwood area. In the Museum you will duck beneath the timber beams of a ‘Mine entrance’ to see a display of artifacts that depict the area’s mining history, learn about the Mother Lode and Phoenix claims from historic photos, and come to understand the size and scope of operations at the BC Copper Smelter from a scale model and panoramic image. We recommend that you take a self-guided ‘Heritage Walking Tour’ of Greenwood’s many charming buildings and historic sites where you can grab a bite to eat before hitting the road again. Hollywood saw something special in Greenwood, and so will you!
