Jewel Lake Provincial Park

Jewel Lake Provincial Park

If pristine spring fed lakes stocked with Rainbow and Brook Trout, historic Mine sites, cross-country skiing and ‘home grown worms’ intrigue you, Jewel Lake is perfect for you. Whether you choose a cabin or tent you will love the rich possibilities of recreational enjoyment at Jewel Lake. A fisherman’s dream, this lake boasts a record for the largest Gerrard trout — a whopping 52 lbs (or 23.6 kg) — ever landed. And when the lake is frozen over there’s still fun to be had! Bring your toboggan and enjoy some quality sliding or winter ice fishing with the locals and at the end of the day warm up next to a hearty fire.

It is not possible to make a reservation at this park. Campsites are often available for last-minute campers in July and August. Fees are cash only and are self registration. Jewel Lake Provincial Park is open seasonally from the May Long Weekend through the second weekend in September.
