Located at ‘Mile 0’ of the Kettle Valley Railway / Trans Canada Trail and adjacent to Highway 3, the Kettle River Museum is the perfect rest stop! Bring lunch and dine alfresco in the Museum’s shaded picnic area and then climb aboard their restored CPR caboose and various other outdoor artifacts. Next stop: check out the Museum’s original Canadian Pacific Railway Station House! Built in 1900 the station is now home to exhibits commemorating the steam railway era of Southern British Columbia and the British Columbia Provincial Police force. Finish off your excursion by taking in the interpretive exhibits of the area’s rich cultural heritage housed in the main museum building, along with a gift shop that showcases regional history and contemporary arts and crafts.
