Tina's Trading Post Gift Shop - at the Welcome Centre
Tina’s Trading Post Gift Shop, located inside the Welcome Centre, hosts a variety of Christina Lake branded items such as hoodies, shirts, mugs and many more unique items celebrating the spirit of Christina Lake. We also carry locally handcrafted gifts, children’s clothing, toys, maps, books, kites and chocolates. Tina’s Trading Post, is named after Christina MacDonald, BC’s first woman shopkeeper and for whom the lake was named after.
Adjacent to the gift shop is “Arts on 3 Gallery” hosted by The Christina Lake Arts and Artisans Society, and Environmental Interpretative Gallery hosted by The Christina Lake Stewardship Society. The Welcome Centre also hosts Christina Gateway Community Development Association and the local Bistro.
Come discover the The Welcome Centre , home of the living arts, an environmentally built building with solar aquatics centre, a beautifully handcrafted story pole created by the community and a magnificent 3-D Mural floor depicting the Kettle Valley Rail and Cascade Gorge along with historical photos of the area. Visitors can take a photo of themselves and their family and friends standing on the bridge, a life like realistic image as if your balancing on the edge, over the falls!
A fun pit stop along the way, adjacent to the nature park, visitors can easily walk to Christina Lakes waters edge within minutes, from the Welcome Centre parking lot. Stop for a quick dip in BC’s warmest tree lined lake, which gets up to 26 Degree Celsius in the summer. You may even decide to stay awhile once you discover Christina Lake’s small town charm and beauty, a real gem to discover in Boundary Country.
