“We’ve been dealt our fair share of adversity lately, from fires to floods, and of course Covid too.  It feels like a good time to spread some positive news and give people the opportunity to look forward to a weekend gathering with friends and family at Big White.” Kurt Jory, co-owner of Thick as Thieves Entertainment (Producers of Denim on the Diamond and AltiTunes).

“The hospitality and entertainment industry have been two of the hardest hit over the past two years.  We’ve navigated the Interior Health orders and we were able to successfully and safely put on Denim on the Diamond in downtown Kelowna on October 2nd with no health concerns or issues.  We have proven and shown that people can gather safely, and look forward to bringing more live music back to the area.” Mitch Carefoot, Co-owner.

“Our goal is to complement the array of fun activities at the resort with an unforgettable live music experience as a way to cap off the ski season – the mother of all Apres-Ski’s against a spectacular mountain backdrop; surreal experience attendees will not soon forget.” – said Kurt Jory.

“We are always looking for new ways to provide value and experiences to our current guests at Big White, and new ways to attract non-skiers, a younger demographic & increase visits to the Okanagan by providing first-class entertainment value at Big White Ski Resort” – Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President Big White Ski Resort.

“We are excited to bring some of Canada’s top artists to Big White and to curate a diverse artist line-up that is authentic to the mountain lifestyle at Big White; from modern rock & alternative to electronic-pop, as well as DJ sets at different locations on the ski-hill throughout the early afternoon leading up to our event.”  Mitch Carefoot, co-owner of Thick as Thieves Entertainment

“Our music is very outward-looking, it’s not an insular experience. Especially in the digital age, where everybody is always on their devices — to have these big moments of communal feeling is that much more special. You’re actually out of the house, surrounded by like-minded people, sharing a common experience – as the front guy, I think about that a lot, how I can make that connection feel real.” Singer Max Kerman of Arkells.
