Videos promoting Boundary Country!

In partnership with the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, a drone video shoot was completed in the Fall 2018. The Boundary Country Story video is  posted on the home page of Boundarybc.com

The shoot resulted in three videos:

  • Horizontal 1:35
  • Horizontal 0:49
  • 1 minute social edit with copy

The videos provide a great opportunity to increase awareness of Boundary Country and to expand connectivity with Destination British Columbia and Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association.

Distribution commenced with Destination BC (DBC) as part of its Fall 2018 Recovery Campaign.

As the video follows DBC brand guidelines, they were excited to include the 1 minute social edit as part of their Fall ExploreBC campaign encouraging shoulder season travel throughout the province targeting the Alberta and BC markets.  Results from that campaign were as follows:

  • 70,444 reach

In addition, the Thompson Okanagan marketing team also shared the social edit on their Facebook page and crossposted with relevant business pages https://www.facebook.com/ThompsonOkanagan/videos/258207584864151.

The post included a link to their blog about the region increasing awareness of the area https://www.thompsonokanagan.com/content/boundary-country.

Results from that post, including crossposts are:

  • 47,201 reach

The Boundary Country Story video is also featured on the Boundary Road Trip page on Route 97.

The Boundary Country social media video was shared as part the TOTA CEO Glenn Mandziuk message on collaboration, as featured in Manic Monday, the weekly address to the tourism industry. Review the message here.
